Truck testing

Created by George 2 years ago

I knew Richard from my early days at Truck Magazine, and we had some shared previous experience, since we'd both been full-time professional drivers in the past. He was always (and quite rightly) concerned that we journalists got the best out of the trucks he so carefully prepared, and we used to joke about the fact that he hated to have the windows open, or the air-con on, in case the fuel consumption was compromised.

My last-ever road-test was with him, in August 2003 in a Daf 95.530, so I went out on a high. I'll remember Richard with respect and affection; he was, simply, a good guy.
